- KERBASA coarse, strong cotton fabric made in Persia from native cotton. Plain and twill weaves, qualities range about 48 ends and 42 picks per inch, 16's warp and weft. It is used as a bed covering and for clothing by the middle classes. Variously bleached and dyed. Pieces are about 7 yards to 10 yards long.
